THANK YOU!

Thank you so very much to everyone who joined us last night for our Mariposa Junction Night Market Street fair!

Special thanks to @supervisorkathrynbarger and her staff for helping us realize this vision. Thank you also to the @altadenachamber the @lacountyfd the @lasdhq the Galloway family and our core partner @lacountyparks for their support in facilitating these efforts.
Our goals in hosting the night market have been to:
Engender a sense of community. After the height of the pandemic, we all needed a bit more human interaction.
Create economic wellness opportunities for local small businesses and to highlight the businesses on Mariposa Street. Hopefully, you learned about a new favorite store or crafter, and will support their local business more.
To provide access to and inform you of community wellness resources. In partnering with the Altadena Library, Altadena Safe Streets, Amigos de los Rios, and many other community organizations, we’ve been able to help heighten awareness of safe street access for pedestrians and bicyclists, educational resources through our libraries, and environmental improvements that shape the way we navigate and enjoy Altadena.
To heighten awareness of the Altadena Farmers Market and the wellness resource that it is, year-round, for Altadena. Keeping the market open post-pandemic has been challenging, to say the least. To keep the market open, we need the same type of support we saw over the past few months at the night market. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation, visit the market, or shop the market online, if it is a resource you’d like to see remain in Altadena. Our in-person market will return on 7/13, if we can get our permits paid. If not, the reopening may be further delayed.
Thanks again, everyone! What a wonderful show of community. 💜
